Fitment

Compatible with 1999–Current Harley-Davidson® models including Dyna, Softail M8, Sportster & Baggers.

Compatible with 1987–1998 Harley-Davidson® models including Dyna, FXR and Sportster when the correct V4 wiring option is selected.

Certain Softail M8 applications require an additional rear fender harness, bezel, and/or load equalizer for proper turn signal operation. Review the year-specific requirements below before ordering.

🔌 2018–2024 Softail M8 FXLR / FXLRS / FXLRST
These models require the MOONSMC® 2018–2024 M8 Softail Rear Fender Wire Harness in order for the V4 integrated turn signals to operate properly. The harness provides the proper power and signal routing for the V4 rear lighting setup.

🧱 2020–2024 Softail M8 FXLRST Low Rider ST
Low Rider ST models require the 2018–2024 M8 Rear Fender Wire Harness and the MOONSMC® Black Tail Light Base Plate Bezel for Softail M8 when installing the V4 tail light.

🔌 2025–Current Softail M8 Gen2 Rear Fender Harness
If you have a 2025-current Softail M8, use the MOONSMC® 2025-Current M8 Softail Gen2 Rear Fender Wire Harness with your compatible rear LED lighting setup. The 2025-current Gen2 rear lighting system uses a different wiring configuration than the 2018–2024 models, so the earlier M8 rear fender harness should not be used for these applications.

⚡ 2025–Current Softail M8 LED Lighting Load Equalizer
2025-current Softail M8 models also require the MOONSMC® LED Lighting Load Equalizer when upgrading to the V4 LED tail light and integrated turn signals. The factory electrical system monitors lighting load, and the lower power draw of LED lighting can cause hyper-flash, bulb-out warnings, or lighting fault codes. The load equalizer restores the electrical load the factory system expects for proper LED operation.

💡 Older Harley Models: Hyper-Flash or Bulb-Out Errors
Some older Harley-Davidson electrical systems may require our standard MOONSMC® Plug-and-Play Load Equalizer when converting to LED lighting. If your signals flash rapidly or your dash displays a bulb-out or lighting error, check the load equalizer fitment for your specific year and model.
